People love to say “But favourites only win 35% of the time” yes they do…Favourites do actually win.

What people forget to tell you is that favourites win more of one type of race than another, favourites win more at certain distances than others and favourites win more at certain odds!

Unfortunately this is where it gets difficult, but let us show you how we cracked the code using the Betfair market.

We knew from many years experience of betting on the horses that we could get our overal strike rate to around 36% or 37%, but what was causing us the biggest problem was getting the odds we needed.

We didn’t want our average winning odds to fall below 3.00 (2/1) on Betfair because this would ensure long term profit.

For months we tried out different ideas but although we had some success, we couldn’t keep our average winning odds above 3.00, that was until one day we were discussing the timing of our selections (when we actually put the bets into the market) that we finally found the key!

We finally found the key to making long term profit on betfair backing favourites to win.

We are brothers but we both have different ways of looking at things. Brian tends to be a little more logical where as Graham is more of a “gut feeling” type of guy so although this can sometime cause “conflicts” in the way we look at things, it can also help us make discoveries that on our own we may not have seen.

On this occasion we realized that there was something about the timing and when the bets were placed, that was giving us a clue…

Graham’s gut feeling was that the timing was important and when we analysed Brian's more comprehensive records we found the key to making profit staring us in the face.

I mean we just didn't realise that the timing of when we placed the bets was so important.

Yes we had heard rumours from other people who make money on betfair that timing was important, but to be honest we thought it was a lot of rubbish!

So let us say you were betting £10 per selection.

Your 63 wins would have returned: 10 x 2.42 x 63  = £1524.60

You would have lost £1040.
£1524.60  - £1040 = £484.60 profit from just £10 bets.


In order to cover your losses you would have needed at least £120 in your bank but we suggest you use a maximum of 5% of your betting bank for your stake allowing for longer losing runs which could happen.

Oh... by the way we run two systems with slightly different criteria, we are in the habit now of calling them the Short and Long systems. The Long system includes all those in the Short and more. The Short system returned alone an impressive 19.34 pts profit in March!

Q. How do I get the tips again?

A. The tips come through our dedicated betting software that you install on your machine after joining our service.

Q. Don’t you do a free trial?

A. To be honest most people do not take notice of things that are free because they have no perceived value. We actually think our selections are very competitively priced and an easy decision for the serious punter.

Q. When are the selections available?

A. Tips are normally available at around 10am 5 days a week (Mon to Fri). But it doesn’t really matter because the software checks our server every few minutes to see if they are available and when they are, it downloads them automatically.

Q. Can I switch my computer off once the tips are downloaded?

A. No! The software needs to monitor the Betfair Markets and as such needs to be running on a computer that is connected to the internet until all races have finished.
